The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nippon misses the shot to the body.
Andrews shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nippon as he avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Andrews.
Nippon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Nippon tries to move to full mount but Andrews actually manages to regain half guard.

Nippon is stalling here. Andrews is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nippon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Andrews has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nippon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Nippon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Nippon pushes Andrews off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nippon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nippon in particular looking to stall.

My spies in Shut Up & Train! {$1000} inform me that Nippon has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Nippon is posturing up here but Andrews has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Nippon tries to roll out but it's too tight and Nippon has to tap! Slick submission there by Andrews!
