And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brenon Conors!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marmalade closes the distance and clinches.
Marmalade pushes Conors back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Marmalade lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Marmalade pressing his opponent against the cage.

Marmalade has clasped his hands together around Conors's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Conors sneaks out the side door and pushes Marmalade away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conors tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Marmalade defends well and Conors ends up having to push Marmalade into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Marmalade has Conors up against the cage in a clinch.
Conors misses with a hook from the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Marmalade as the two fighters clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A right hook to the body lands for Marmalade.
Conors looks winded!
Conors swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Conors's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Marmalade gets through Conors's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Marmalade turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Marmalade lands an elbow.

Marmalade is working to tighten his grip on Conors's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Conors has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marmalade is really squeezing tight and eventually Conors passes out! Marmalade breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Josh Marmalade!
A determined Josh Marmalade didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
