Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orfeu Carone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Baum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Baum is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Orfeu Carone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Baum! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carone throws an overhand right that lands on Baum's shoulder, as Baum tries to avoid the shot. Carone throws a right and a left that Baum avoids nicely. Carone takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Carone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Baum buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
No joy there for Baum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Baum just misses with a punch to the body.
Carone misses with a hook. Baum ducked under it nicely. Baum slips a straight right by Carone. Carone shoots in for a takedown but Baum shows good takedown defense. Carone misses the body punch and Baum counters with a nice double leg into guard. Baum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carone pushes Baum off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baum moves away. Carone throws a looping overhand right but Baum ducks down to avoid it. Carone looks to clinch and Baum counters by moving into the clinch. Baum jumps guard and drags Carone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Carone missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Carone trying to control but Baum is working from the bottom. Baum not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baum swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carone darts in trying to clinch and Baum counters with a slapping leg kick. Carone on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Baum. Baum obviously looking to wear him down.
Carone tries to clinch up and Baum counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Baum won't allow Carone to sweep him here. Baum must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Baum sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carone is looking to sweep but instead, Baum has passed into half guard.

Carone scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Baum manages to mount him!
Baum can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carone is looking to escape. Baum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carone is desperately trying to improve his position but Baum has a good base and remains in mount. Carone wants to hold on but Baum pushes him away. Baum controlling the pace for now. Baum looking to control but Carone is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baum shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Baum scores with a body shot.

and Baum decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carone's guard. Baum stands up from guard. Let's bang! A shot to de liver by Carone. Beautiful body shot. Carone misses the body punch and Baum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Orfeu Carone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carone misses with a double jab
and Baum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Carone wants to get back to striking at distance but Baum won't allow it.
Carone tries to throw a body punch but Baum avoids it by throwing Carone back against the cage. Baum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Baum has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carone finds it's way round the side to connect with Baum's head. Baum connects with a single shot there. Carone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baum, pushing him back against the cage. Carone is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baum misses with a hook from the clinch. Knees to the body from Baum.
Carone tries to stall but Baum uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Carone is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Carone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Baum is working for takedown but Carone is calmly controlling the position for now. Carone tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Carone managing to block the knees to the body from Baum.
Carone wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Baum has him pressed against the cage. Baum manages to break the clinch.
Carone throws a combination that misses and Baum counters with a nice low kick that buckles Carone's knee momentarily. Baum shoots in and bounces Carone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Carone trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carone keeping moving, preventing Baum from controlling successfully. Carone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carone trying to control the position.
Baum stands up from Carone's guard - Baum perhaps looking for a knockout.

Carone closes the distance but Baum moves to the side and Baum counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Carone tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Baum to counter with a crisp jab. Carone swings away with a body shot that misses
and Baum counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Baum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Carone doesn't succeed with the takedown and Baum makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Carone really felt that one! Carone throws a sloppy body shot
and Baum counters with a one-two to the body. Baum tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carone paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carone has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Carone is looking to wear down Baum with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Baum closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Baum looking to stall.
Carone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The referee calls for Baum to work.
Carone has had enough of the clinch but Baum keeps him there for the moment. A head punch blocked on the inside by Baum. Baum pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Baum defending well as Carone loads up on a big left hand.

Carone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Baum is one step ahead there. Baum controlling from the top position. Carone working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Baum has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Carone wants to control but Baum is keeping busy and won't allow it. Orfeu Carone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carone looking for submissions off his back. Baum looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Baum is controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Baum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baum has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
