Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jayson Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Carter!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Donk. Carter catches Smith right on the button with a cross.
Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
A nice side step and Carter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Jayson Smith has been cut.
Carter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Smith on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Carter. Carter obviously looking to wear him down.
A punch combination from Smith misses.
A swing and a miss from Smith.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith gets a double leg takedown into Carter's guard.
Carter looking for a sweep. Not yet Carter, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now.
Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carter scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Smith is rocked!
Michael Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carter connects with a solid leg kick.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith ducks into an uppercut from Carter and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Carter!
A very excited looking Michael Carter rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
