Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultima Koivisto (ranked 431 p4p, 553 weight class) and Akaro Horiguchi (ranked 57 p4p, 72 weight class). Horiguchi has chosen Japanese Imperial Army Death March as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ultima Koivisto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Akaro Horiguchi!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koivisto swings for the body but Horiguchi moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Horiguchi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Koivisto sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Horiguchi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Koivisto walks into a stiff left hand from Horiguchi.
Horiguchi cracks Koivisto with an open hand slap.
Koivisto scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Koivisto works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've been informed that Horiguchi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Koivisto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horiguchi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Koivisto tries to keep at a distance but Horiguchi has taken the fight into the clinch.

It looks like Akaro Horiguchi has been cut.

Koivisto cracks Horiguchi with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Koivisto immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Horiguchi is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Koivisto!
