Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kofi Ousmane (ranked 749 p4p, 1802 weight class) and Eric Ries (ranked 104 p4p, 236 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Kofi Ousmane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Ries! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ousmane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ries counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ousmane swings for the body but Ries moves out of range.
Ries looks like he wants to counter punch here. Ousmane looks for a takedown but Ries sprawls well. Ries looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Ousmane tries for a takedown but Ries circles away easily and Ries connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kofi Ousmane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ousmane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ries defends well and Ousmane ends up having to push Ries into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ries presses Ousmane against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Ries prevents a body shot from Ousmane. Ries throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ousmanes head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ries breaks from the clinch.
Ries lands a nice looking body shot.
Ousmane throws a nice looking combination but Ries bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ries lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Ousmane dives in for a single leg takedown but Ries sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Ries breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ries lands a big head kick that sends Ousmane tumbling to the mat! Ries takes a step backwards and waves Ousmane back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ousmane is rocked! We've been informed that Ries has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ries measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Ousmane! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
