Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kron Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa scores with a spinning back kick!
Barbosa throws the kick towards the body but Gracie avoids it.
Barbosa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Barbosa keeps Gracie at a distance using the push kick.
Barbosa looks for the body kick but Gracie saw that one coming.
A jab from Barbosa finds it's way through Gracie's defenses.
Barbosa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.
Gracie feints the counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie throws a good cross that connects.
Gracie scores with a jab to the jaw.
Gracie closes the distance but Barbosa moves to the side
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Antonio Barbosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie drives through and clinches with Barbosa against the cage.
Barbosa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Barbosa has him pressed against the cage.
A short uppercut from Barbosa.
Gracie gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Barbosa is trying to control but can't.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gracie content to control rather than advance.
Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Barbosa defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Barbosa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!

Kron Gracie is the new lightweight champion!
After the fight, Kron Gracie was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
