Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Ljungberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Feldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Feldman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikael Ljungberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Feldman!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ljungberg tries to clinch but Feldman is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ljungberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ljungberg wants to clinch up but Feldman keeps it at a distance.
Ljungberg looks to score with a jab to the body but Feldman is just out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ljungberg.
Ljungberg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Feldman tries to avoid it but Ljungberg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Feldman to the ground. Feldman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ljungberg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Feldman as he avoids it easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Feldman fails to land with a series of punches.

Feldman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ljungberg.
No luck for Ljungberg with that takedown attempt.
Ljungberg tries for a takedown but Feldman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mikael Ljungberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ljungberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A close round but Daniel Feldman will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ljungberg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Feldman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ljungberg somewhat.
Ljungberg could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Feldman slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ljungberg cracks Feldman with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Feldman looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ljungberg finish him?


It looks like Daniel Feldman has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ljungberg dives in and grabs Feldman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Feldman pushes down on Ljungberg's head and hops out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ljungberg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Feldman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Feldman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ljungberg.
Feldman leaves Ljungberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Feldman lands a glancing blow to the side of Ljungberg's head.

Ljungberg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Feldman's waist but Feldman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ljungberg off to one side.

Feldman scores with a one two! Ljungberg had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ljungberg tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ljungberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Feldman as he jumps to the side.
Feldman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ljungberg.
Ljungberg tries to close the distance and clinch but Feldman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ljungberg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Feldman sprawls well initially but Ljungberg persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ljungberg looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Ljungberg takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ljungberg stops Feldman from getting back to his feet.

Ljungberg not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ljungberg missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ljungberg passes the guard and advances to mount!
Ljungberg misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ljungberg wants to control the pace but Feldman is squirming around nicely.
Feldman is bucking up trying to escape but Ljungberg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ljungberg thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ljungberg thowing shots but they're missing.
Feldman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ljungberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ljungberg trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ljungberg sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Feldman in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Ljungberg in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Feldman is squirming around, avoiding Ljungberg's attempts to control the action.

Mikael Ljungberg showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ljungberg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
