Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kip York (ranked 4619 p4p, 3516 weight class) and Dosh Oh (ranked 395 p4p, 336 weight class). Dosh Oh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kip York!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dosh Oh!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh fails with a takedown attempt.
It looked like York was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Oh.
Oh scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dosh Oh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oh ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A decent looking cross lands there for York.
Oh shoots in looking for a takedown but York manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
York throwing a counter right hand but Oh manages to avoid it.
Oh scores with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by York.
York ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oh moves away.
Oh is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Oh uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oh misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from York.

York avoids a punch combination nicely.

and York counters with a series of strikes. Oh will be more careful next time no doubt.
Oh doesn't manage to clinch there - York circles away.

Oh moves into the clinch successfully.
The referee is keeping an eye on York - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Oh can't find room to land a body shot as York controls the action.
I was talking to York's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Oh manages to break the clinch.
Oh lands with a cross.
Oh fails with a takedown attempt.
Kip York has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dosh Oh.
York takes a jab right on the kisser.

York swats away the attempt to clinch by Oh.
Horrible takedown attempt by Oh or perhaps it was just good defense by York, which made it look bad.
Oh tests York's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oh connects with a crisp jab.
York misses with a looping left.
York doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

York gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Oh trying to control the position from guard on top but York is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

York can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Oh controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oh landing with the ground and pound.
York wants to stand and escape but Oh is having none of it.
Oh scoring with some ground and pound.
Oh trying to control the position from guard on top but York is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oh content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
York wants to stand but Oh is controlling the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Oh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Oh prevents York from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Oh scores with a nice strike.
Oh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
York throwing a counter right hand but Oh manages to avoid it.
Oh wants to clinch up but York keeps it at a distance.
Oh swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Oh darts in and clinches York up against the cage.
Oh stalling in the clinch.
Oh has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. York is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dosh Oh dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

York misses with an uppercut. Oh saw that one coming.
Jab from Oh.
Oh lands a jab to the nose.
York goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Oh with a nice cross.

Oh shoots in and gets a takedown into York's guard.
Oh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Oh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Oh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
York keeping full guard, as Oh tries to pass.
Oh wants to control from the top but York keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oh is pushing down on York's leg trying to pass to half guard. York is fighting to maintain full guard but Oh has managed to sneak the leg through.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Oh is trying to control the action in half guard but York is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Oh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
York is staying active underneath Oh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
York looks like he's trying to stand up.
Oh is taking a breather. York says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Oh wants to take a breather but York is having none of it.

Oh prevents York from standing back up.
Oh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oh connects with a nice short shot to York's temple.
Oh keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Oh working the head and body with strikes.

Oh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, York has managed to free his arm - good work.

Oh is looking to take a break and control but York is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
York is looking to escape.

Oh slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Oh lands a nice short elbow.
Oh wants to lay and pray for a moment but York keeps working.
York wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
York on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Oh seems content to control.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Oh in particular looking to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Oh fails to land the takedown.
It looked like York wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dosh Oh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Oh connects with a body shot that sends York's belly button to the back.
Oh throws out a powerful jab.

Oh clinches.
Oh doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
York blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Oh misses with a punch to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from Oh.
Oh works on York's body with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh has York pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Oh pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending York tumbling to the mat - Oh dives into York's guard.
Oh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Oh looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Oh pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. York is keeping the position for now.
York is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oh is controlling him.
Oh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oh trying to control but York is working from the bottom.
Oh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Oh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Kip York has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Oh slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

York tries to keep at a distance but Oh has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oh misses with a hook to the ribs.
Oh tries to circle away but York has him pinned against the cage.

York blocks a body shot from Oh.
Oh has York pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. York manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A head punch blocked on the inside by York.
York blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Oh displaying some good clinch control by pressing York up against the cage.
Oh drops down looking for an ankle pick but York pulls his leg out and moves away.
Oh swings for the body but York moves out of range.
It looked like York wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
York defending well as Oh loads up on a big left hand.
York jabs at Oh's body.

Oh thuds his right hand into York's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oh fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh lands a straight punch to the body, keeping York at a distance.
Oh uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
York's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Oh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! York scrambles back to his feet.

Oh gets a double leg takedown into York's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
York wants to get back to his feet but Oh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Oh working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Oh slips nicely into half guard.
Oh wants to lay and pray for a moment but York keeps working.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dosh Oh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Oh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
