Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Padraig Ahearn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ladislas Galopin!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahearn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Galopin drives through with a takedown into Ahearn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Galopin is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ahearn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galopin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Foundry. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Galopin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ahearn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ahearn shrugs it off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Galopin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Galopin wants to control the pace but Ahearn is squirming around nicely.

I really don't envy Ahearn right now.

Galopin has the hooks in. Ahearn is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Galopin passes his arm under Ahearn's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Ahearn taps!
