Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Chaelsson (ranked 2211 p4p, 2831 weight class) and Hueng Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Chaelsson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 29 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Chaelsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hueng Son! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Son uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaelsson.
A little jabbing left from Son on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Son lands a head shot. Chaelsson looks for a takedown but Son sprawls well. Chaelsson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Son. Chaelsson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Son sprawls and moves away. Chaelsson moves away from the strike by Son. Chaelsson shoots in and gets a takedown into Son's guard. Chaelsson throws a big elbow that misses. Chaelsson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaelsson throws a big elbow that misses. Son is trying to control the position but Chaelsson postures up. Chaelsson wants to sweep here but Son controlling him for the moment. Chaelsson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Son is aware though and is defending well. That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaelsson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Son ducks under a wild hook from Chaelsson. A shot to the body from Chaelsson misses and Son counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Chaelsson slips under a jab. Chaelsson connects with the punch. Son swings for the body but Chaelsson moves out of range.

Son stuffs the takedown attempt from Chaelsson. Chaelsson gets slowly back to his feet. Son now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Son misses with an uppercut. Chaelsson saw that one coming. Chaelsson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A lazy left from Son finds it's target. Chaelsson throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Son counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hueng Son dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Son darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Chaelsson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chaelsson throws a looping overhand right but Son ducks down to avoid it. Son moves out of range of the strikes. A little jabbing left from Son on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Chaelsson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Son as he avoids it easily. Son slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Son ducks under a wild hook from Chaelsson. Chaelsson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Son swats him away and circles back towards the center. It seemed like Son was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaelsson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Son at a distance.
A shot to the liver by Son. Beautiful body shot. Chaelsson scores with a takedown into Son's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chaelsson being controlled here momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chaelsson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Son looking for a sweep. Not yet Son, not yet. Chaelsson content to stall in guard here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Chaelsson wants to clinch up but Son keeps it at a distance. Chaelsson feints and as Son raises his hands in defense, Chaelsson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Son lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Son not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chaelsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Son can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Patrick Chaelsson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Son stopping the sweep attempt from Chaelsson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaelsson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Son is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chaelsson. Chaelsson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Chaelsson can't do much from the bottom here. Son is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chaelsson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Son trying to control the action but Chaelsson is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chaelsson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Patrick Chaelsson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Chaelsson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hueng Son seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chaelsson tries to clinch but Son moves out of range. Son drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Chaelsson right on the button. Chaelsson goes down! Son follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Son gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hueng Son! A less than humble Hueng Son misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. Patrick Chaelsson spoke after the fight, saying 'WTF???'.
