Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Corin Blade (ranked 5783 p4p, 4330 weight class) and Sjod Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corin Blade has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corin Blade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sjod Dan!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dan wants to stand but Blade is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blade escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dan is stalling in the full guard.

Dan won't allow Blade to sweep him here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Blade preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blade was covering up waiting for the punch and Dan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dan works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Dan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dan is nestled in close to Blade, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Blade tries to get to full guard but Dan has control of the leg.
Dan content to control rather than advance.
Dan missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dan prevents Blade from improving his position.
Blade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dan on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dan connects with a nice short shot to Blade's temple.
Dan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Blade is breathing heavily.
Dan content just to control the position here.

BOOM! Dan connects with a massive shot to the dome!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Blade doesn't manage to clinch there - Dan circles away.

Blade fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dan avoids it really well and circles away.
Blade shoots in for a takedown but Dan shows good takedown defense.

Dan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blade!
Blade is looking to get back to his feet here but Dan is keeping cool and he's managed to take Blade's back.

Dan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Blade.

Dan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Blade is defending well though. Dan let's go of the attempt for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dan cracks Blade with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Blade from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Dan lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Dan gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Blade is rocked!

Dan working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Blade is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Dan has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Blade taps out!
