Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jamin Destro!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destro throws out a loose jab but Python uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've been informed that Destro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Python attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Python slips a jab from Destro.
Python went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Destro throws a quick inside leg kick.
Destro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Python sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Destro swings for the body but Python moves out of range.

Destro rushes Python and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Python breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Python on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Python tries to close the distance and clinch up but Destro swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Python fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Destro, pushing him back against the ropes.

Python manages to break the clinch.
Python tries to close the distance and clinch up but Destro swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jamin Destro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Destro dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Destro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Python doesn't seem phased though.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Destro as Python tries to tie him up.
Python using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Destro has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Destro pushes Python back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.

Oh Python is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cyrius Python's cut is getting worse.
Python is trying to force a seperation but Destro has the dominant position.
Python tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Destro cracks Python with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Python goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Python wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jamin Destro!
An out of breath Jamin Destro thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Cyrius Python spoke after the fight, saying 'well that was a hard fight and i ended on the wrong corner'.
