Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Just Whymer (ranked 34 p4p, 105 weight class) and Simon Gustafsson (ranked 7 p4p, 17 weight class). Simon Gustafsson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 37 - 15 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just Whymer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Gustafsson! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whymer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Whymer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Whymer wants it to stay on the feet. Whymer throws a left and a right that both miss
so Gustafsson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Whymer uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gustafsson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gustafsson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Whymer. Gustafsson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. A low kick from Whymer misses and Gustafsson counters with a low kick, right behind Whymer 's knee. Gustafsson blocks a jab. We've been told by Whymer's head coaches at Ryōzanpaku Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whymer throws a leg kick and Gustafsson counters with a single leg into guard. Whymer didn't expect that. Gustafsson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gustafsson looking to pass the guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gustafsson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Whymer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gustafsson looking to pass the guard. Gustafsson throwing strikes but missing. Gustafsson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gustafsson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Whymer keeping full guard, as Gustafsson tries to pass. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Whymer controls Gustafsson momentarily but Gustafsson frees himself.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Just Whymer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gustafsson fails to land the takedown. Whymer half committed to a counter leg kick. Just Whymer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Gustafsson.

A close round but Simon Gustafsson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Gustafsson shoots in looking for a takedown but Whymer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gustafsson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gustafsson shoots for a takedown but Whymer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Whymer seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Whymer - that will leave a mark!

Gustafsson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Whymer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Just Whymer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Gustafsson. Whymer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That kick from Whymer tenderised Gustafsson's leg. Gustafsson is trying to keep his angry face on. Gustafsson blocks a jab. Gustafsson with the counter takedown but Whymer avoids it easily. Whymer throws a leg kick and Gustafsson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gustafsson throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Whymer manages to pass to side control. Gustafsson is looking for a sweep. Whymer gets to mount! Gustafsson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Gustafsson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Just Whymer dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Gustafsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Whymer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gustafsson somewhat. Whymer stuns Gustafsson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A decent looking body kick lands there for Whymer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Whymer. Gustafsson does a little dance to reset his feet. Whymer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gustafsson moves away. Whymer motions for Gustafsson to come forward. Whymer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whymer throws an overhand right that lands on Gustafsson's shoulder, as Gustafsson tries to avoid the shot. Whymer misses with a two punch combination.

Whymer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Whymer finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Whymer. That's going to slow Gustafsson down. Just Whymer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gustafsson has a takedown stuffed. It looked like Whymer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whymer with a hook. Whymer leaves Gustafsson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gustafsson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice defenses there by Gustafsson. A solid body kick from Whymer. Whymer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whymer clobbers Gustafsson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gustafsson is rocked! Whymer lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gustafsson falls backwards - clearly groggy! Whymer dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Just Whymer! Our winner, Just Whymer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
