Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Rakusaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kurt pike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rakusaba might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to David Bowie - Suffragette City. kurt pike is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pike fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Rakusaba as pike shoots in.
pike throws a body punch but Rakusaba moves out of range.

pike changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rakusaba looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rakusaba is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked pike off and has taken his back!
Rakusaba throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting pike!
Rakusaba keeps control of the position easily here as pike tries to buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

pike defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rakusaba's arms.

Rakusaba is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. pike is defending well though. Rakusaba let's go of the attempt for now.
pike really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rakusaba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!

pike wants to improve his position but Rakusaba is controlling well.

Rakusaba is looking for a kimura but pike is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rakusaba to get the leverage.
Rakusaba trying to mount his opponent but pike defends it.
Rakusaba uses his free foot to push down on pike's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for pike.
Rakusaba can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as pike is looking to escape.
Rakusaba is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. pike can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

pike is squirming around, avoiding Rakusaba's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rakusaba lands with some vicious ground and pound - can pike hang on?
pike tries to control the position but Rakusaba now has his back.
pike looks gassed!
You can see the frustration on pike's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rakusaba is persistently looking for the submission but pike is defending it well.

Rakusaba has got one arm under pike's chin. This could be trouble... pike trying to control the other hand but Rakusaba gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, pike has tapped out! The fight is over!
