PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kermit Archer (ranked 586 p4p, 181 weight class) and Kazuma Kuwabara (ranked 77 p4p, 28 weight class). Kuwabara has chosen Kazuma Kuwabara Theme as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Archer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Archer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kuwabara has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Archer has managed to get both his arms back between Kuwabara's legs - danger averted.

Archer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuwabara circles away quickly and effectively.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kuwabara darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kuwabara crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Archer - the referee stops the clock and Kuwabara gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Archer. Kuwabara manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuwabara shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Archer sprawls well. Archer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kuwabara gets slowly back to his feet.

Archer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kuwabara momentarily.
