Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Austin (ranked 24488 p4p, 23442 weight class) and Josh Johnson (ranked 120 p4p, 129 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Johnson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson dives in and grabs Austin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Austin pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out. It looked like Austin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Austin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Austin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Johnson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Austin is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Austin works his way into full mount! Austin has control of Johnson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johnson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Josh Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
