Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Rurikovich (ranked 1419 p4p, 3729 weight class) and Kahdi Mandinos (ranked 192 p4p, 444 weight class). The key to victory for Vladimir Rurikovich has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Rurikovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Kahdi Mandinos! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rurikovich throws a nice looking combination but Mandinos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rurikovich takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rurikovich pushes Mandinos up against the cage in a clinch. Rurikovich creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A head punch on the inside from Rurikovich fails to land. Rurikovich lands an elbow that stopped Mandinos in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Kahdi Mandinos has been cut. Rurikovich stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rurikovich doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mandinos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rurikovich walks away with a smile on his face. Mandinos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rurikovich lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Rurikovich takes a swing at Mandinos's ribcage but misses. Rurikovich has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mandinos is trying to drag Rurikovich to the mat but Rurikovich just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. This has been an exciting period of action! Rurikovich pushes off an throws an elbow but Mandinos leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rurikovich creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mandinos's defenses. Our sources have told us that Rurikovich has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Rurikovich swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rurikovich scores with a shoulder strike. Rurikovich works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Rurikovich lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Mandinos gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mandinos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mandinos trying to control from half guard but Rurikovich is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rurikovich is defending against the submission attempts here by Mandinos.
Mandinos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rurikovich's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mandinos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rurikovich is just riding it out for now. Mandinos eventually gives up the hold. Mandinos throwing shots but Rurikovich is blocking nicely. Mandinos looks to land a strike but Rurikovich avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Mandinos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rurikovich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rurikovich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rurikovich!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mandinos is looking to regain half guard here but Rurikovich keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rurikovich happy to just control the position for now. Rurikovich working away. Mandinos manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rurikovich's best efforts. Rurikovich content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Mandinos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rurikovich pulls his head out easily. Mandinos looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rurikovich is looking to advance position but Mandinos won't allow it. Mandinos trying to control from the bottom.
Mandinos looking for submissions off his back. Rurikovich seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mandinos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rurikovich pulls his head out easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Rurikovich dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kahdi Mandinos's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Mandinos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mandinos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A nice leg kick lands there from Rurikovich. An inside leg kick lands from Rurikovich. Rurikovich swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mandinos. Rurikovich wants to clinch but Mandinos slips to the side and Mandinos counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mandinos is just content to waste time from the top position. Rurikovich takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Rurikovich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mandinos with a flurry of punches that miss. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rurikovich is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mandinos looking to sit in guard and control but Rurikovich gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mandinos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mandinos wants to sweep here but Rurikovich controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rurikovich's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mandinos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mandinos has his foot on Rurikovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rurikovich works his way back into a safe position though. Rurikovich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mandinos swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rurikovich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mandinos trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Mandinos can't keep his opponent in guard - Rurikovich advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mandinos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rurikovich pulls his head out easily. Mandinos tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Well, if Rurikovich is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mandinos looking for submissions off his back. Mandinos is looking for a sweep. Rurikovich is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rurikovich is taking a breather. Mandinos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rurikovich fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mandinos. Vladimir Rurikovich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mandinos displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Rurikovich is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mandinos can do to turn this around? A jab from Rurikovich finds it's way through Mandinos's defenses.
That has opened up Kahdi Mandinos's cut even more. Rurikovich lands a big head kick that sends Mandinos to the canvas! Rurikovich follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
