Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rice Flair (ranked 2096 p4p, 24526 weight class) and Kai Chisaki (ranked 268 p4p, 700 weight class). Rice Flair has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rice Flair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Chisaki!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flair tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chisaki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Flair darts in and clinches Chisaki up against the cage.
Chisaki is looking for a takedown.
Flair prevents a takedown attempt there.
Chisaki blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Flair misses with a hook to the ribs.

Rice Flair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Chisaki.
Chisaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Flair gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Flair is pressed up against the cage. Chisaki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Flair down to the mat. Flair avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Chisaki has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Flair after a bit of a struggle.

Flair has his foot on Chisaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chisaki works his way back into a safe position though.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chisaki working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Chisaki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Flair is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
