Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Jufee (ranked 4572 p4p, 4680 weight class) and Cory Ashby (ranked 0 p4p, 376 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonathan Jufee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cory Ashby!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashby tries to clinch up but Jufee circles away and keeps his distance.
Ashby is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ashby thuds his shin into the meat of Jufee's side.
Jufee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jufee lands in his opponent's guard.
Ashby scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ashby throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ashby tries to clinch there but Jufee circles away.

Ashby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jufee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ashby somewhat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jufee walks into a jab.

Ashby looks to clinch
and Jufee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ashby trying to keep a closed guard but Jufee is proving a slippery customer.
Ashby tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jufee working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Ashby keeping moving, preventing Jufee from controlling successfully.
Jufee passes Ashby's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Jufee winds up and cracks Ashby with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Jufee wants to take a breather but Ashby is having none of it.
Ashby manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jufee drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ashby manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jufee has Ashby in his guard.

Jufee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ashby defends it easily.

Jufee has control of Ashby's left arm, preventing Ashby from doing any damage.

Jufee looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jufee looking for subs off his back but Ashby has passed one foot through into half guard.
Jufee is trying to control but Ashby manages to pass to mount!

Jufee sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Ashby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jufee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ashby is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jufee sees it coming and defends easily.
Jufee works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cory Ashby will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ashby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jufee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ashby drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jufee gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ashby tries to break free but Jufee pushes him back against the cage.
Ashby wants to get back to striking at distance but Jufee won't allow it.
Ashby manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ashby wants to clinch up but Jufee keeps it at a distance.
Jufee stuffs the takedown attempt from Ashby. Ashby gets slowly back to his feet.
Jonathan Jufee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cory Ashby.
Jufee darts in and clinches Ashby up against the cage.

Ashby wants a takedown but no success here.
Ashby tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jufee smiles and moves away.
Ashby throws a sloppy head kick and Jufee moves out of range easily.
Ashby throws a head kick that Jufee semi-blocks.
Ashby gets caught napping as Jufee dives in and scores a takedown. Ashby manages to retain guard.
Jufee passes Ashby's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jufee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jufee in particular looking to stall.
Jufee is nestled in close to Ashby, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ashby is rocked!

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jufee works his way into side control.
Jufee working the ground and pound.
Ashby is still in real trouble! Can Jufee finish him?
Jufee cracks Ashby with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jufee immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Ashby is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jufee!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Jufee!
