Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donavon tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Girrand counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Donavon looking for subs off his back but Girrand has passed one foot through into half guard.
Girrand working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Donavon's thigh. Donavon counters though and makes it back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donavon controls Girrand momentarily but Girrand frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Girrand swats away the attempt to clinch by Donavon.
Girrand feints and then cracks Donavon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Donavon down.

Girrand is trying hard to land a takedown here. Donavon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Donavon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Girrand manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Donavon slaps away a takedown attempt from Girrand, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Donavon moves to clinch but Girrand breaks away
and Girrand counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Donavon badly! He tries to strike back but Girrand puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Donavon out cold! Oh man, Donavon will never hear the end of this one!
