Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Cortez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Koman!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Koman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Koman gets caught flat footed, as Cortez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cortez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Koman wants to get back to his feet but Cortez passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cortez stalling.
Koman tries to kick Cortez off in order to stand up. Cortez Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Cortez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Koman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cortez lands a nice forearm strike.

Cortez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Koman, who protects the arm well.
Koman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cortez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cortez works to advance to full mount. Koman defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
BOOM! Cortez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Cortez landing strikes, looking to finish!

Koman is rocked!
Cortez controlling the position easily from mount.
Koman is still in real trouble! Can Cortez finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cortez lands a big elbow - Koman is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Koman is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Sebastian Cortez!
Sebastian Cortez bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
