Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roses Goldyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Markus Hrastnik! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldyn ducks under a wild hook from Hrastnik. Goldyn throws a head kick that misses and Hrastnik cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hrastnik lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hrastnik throws a body punch but Goldyn moves out of range. Hrastnik swings away with a body shot that misses
and Goldyn moves into the clinch. Hrastnik wants to break free but Goldyn has control.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Goldyn. Goldyn taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Goldyn seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Goldyn throws an elbow but it misses.
Goldyn drags the fight down to the ground.
Hrastnik looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Goldyn is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hrastnik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goldyn lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hrastnik can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Goldyn controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldyn works a leg free and moves into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Goldyn lands a nice short elbow. Goldyn content to control rather than advance. Hrastnik is in trouble now - Goldyn has advanced to mount! Goldyn is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hrastnik is forced to tap! Great finish!
