The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Basciano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kramer tries to avoid it but Basciano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kramer to the ground. Kramer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kramer shoots in looking for a takedown. Basciano tries to sprawl out of it but Kramer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Basciano manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Basciano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kramer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Basciano postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kramer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Basciano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kramer is working hard here to advance position.
Basciano has an Americana. Kramer didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Basciano is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Basciano hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Vincent Basciano!
