PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pagadianon Inday (ranked 6823 p4p, 6751 weight class) and Vvv Vvv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vvv Vvv told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pagadianon Inday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Inday throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vvv tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Inday is in Vvv's guard.
Inday is standing up over Vvv. Vvv looks to escape but Inday dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Inday in side control, throwing shots but Vvv defends.
Vvv is trying to get back to his feet.
Vvv is letting Inday control him for a moment.
Inday's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vvv wants to control but Inday postures up.
Inday controlling from side mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vvv is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Vvv changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Inday tries to avoid it but Vvv manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Inday to the ground. Inday escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vvv shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vvv was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Inday is not content to let Vvv control the position.
Inday is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Inday's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inday is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Vvv working the body and head with strikes.
Inday wants to control but Vvv postures up.
Vvv wants to stand but Inday has his arm trapped.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vvv pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Inday is looking to counter with a body kick.
Vvv darts in looking for a takedown but Inday gets double underhooks and turns Vvv into the cage.
Inday shoots for a takedown but Vvv saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Inday.
Vvv thinks about the counter body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vvv Vvv dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vvv stuffs the takedown.
Vvv steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Inday will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And Vvv responds with a good body kick, but Inday manages to step out the way in time.
Inday tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Vvv counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vvv wants to control from the top but Inday keeps moving.
Vvv controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vvv is looking to stand up but Inday won't let him.
Inday seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Vvv content to stall in guard here.
Vvv Vvv has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vvv would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Inday fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vvv follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pagadianon Inday. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vvv misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vvv keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vvv thinks about the counter body kick.
Inday tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vvv defends well and Inday ends up having to push Vvv into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Vvv gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Inday.
Inday keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Vvv's efforts to push away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Inday tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Vvv escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Inday looks for a takedown but Vvv sprawls well.
And Vvv responds with a good body kick, but Inday manages to step out the way in time.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vvv Vvv showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Inday throws the kick towards the body but Vvv avoids it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Inday.
Vvv follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Inday closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vvv's guard.

Vvv wants to stand and escape but Inday is having none of it.

Inday is stalling in the full guard.
Further stalling from Inday.
Inday seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vvv for as long as he can get away with.
Vvv wants to stand up but Inday is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vvv is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Inday dives in for a single leg takedown but Vvv sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vvv tries to break the clinch but Inday is controlling the position.
Inday keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Vvv's efforts to push away.

Vvv's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vvv fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Vvv wants to stand and escape but Inday is having none of it.
Pagadianon Inday has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vvv Vvv is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Vvv is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Vvv is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Inday is controlling him.

Pagadianon Inday showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Vvv has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
