The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taamasa lands a front kick.
Taamasa misses with a low kick.
Roussel scores with a takedown into Taamasa's guard.
Roussel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Taamasa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Roussel is looking to work some ground and pound but Taamasa has wrist control.
Roussel lands a couple of digs.
Roussel with a flurry of punches that miss.
Roussel with a nice head shot there.
Roussel is in close to Taamasa's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taamasa wants to stand and escape but Roussel is having none of it.
Taamasa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roussel on the ground.

Roussel postures up in Taamasa's guard and throws a big left but Taamasa blocks it.
Roussel stands and throws Taamasa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Roussel cracks Taamasa with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Roussel creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Taamasa looks to move to half guard but instead Roussel has passed into mount! Damn!

Roussel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Roussel cracks Taamasa with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Roussel postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Taamasa out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Roussel goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

After the fight, Dexter Roussel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
