Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luca Altieri (ranked 2412 p4p, 2357 weight class) and Hank Pym (ranked 307 p4p, 301 weight class). Hank Pym will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pym lands with a nice body punch.
Pym misses with a double jab.
Pym throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Altieri tries to land a body kick
and Pym counters with a nice body shot.
Altieri's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pym under the eye.
Pym tests Altieri's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Altieri throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

I was talking to Altieri's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pym creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A short body shot lands from Pym as the two fighters clinch.
Altieri turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Altieri manages to end up in side control.
Altieri is looking to take a break and control but Pym is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Luca Altieri decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
