Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Chestner (ranked 1300 p4p, 2514 weight class) and Patrick Strasburg (ranked 180 p4p, 337 weight class). Chestner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Eyed Bruiser. Strasburg has chosen The Red - Chevelle as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Chestner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Strasburg! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strasburg misses with a combination
and Chestner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Chestner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chestner connects with a body shot. Strasburg looks to land a right hand but Chestner moved out of range. Strasburg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chestner but Chestner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chestner looks to land a right hand but Strasburg moved out of range. Strasburg will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Strasburg misses with a takedown attempt - Chestner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strasburg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chestner is fending him off so far but Strasburg persists. Nope, Chestner circles away and we're back to standing. Brad Chestner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Strasburg. Chestner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Strasburg manages to avoid it. Strasburg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little feinted left hand from Chestner on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Patrick Strasburg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chestner moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chestner has a couple of punches blocked by Strasburg.
A nice left hand lands by Chestner.
Strasburg ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Strasburg no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Chestner is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strasburg trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Chestner advances to half guard. Strasburg tries to get to full guard but Chestner has control of the leg. Strasburg is still trying to improve position. Strasburg is not content to let Chestner control the position. Chestner performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strasburg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chestner is looking for a kimura but Strasburg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chestner to get the leverage. Strasburg makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Strasburg. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Strasburg is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chestner wants to control but Strasburg passes easily into half guard.
Chestner is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Nap or Tap, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Chestner gets full guard. Strasburg postures up in Chestner's guard and throws a big left but Chestner blocks it. Chestner working a defensive guard here.
Strasburg looking to sit in guard and control but Chestner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Strasburg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chestner trying to control the position from guard on top but Strasburg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strasburg wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Chestner is now in half guard. Strasburg looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Strasburg is trying to stand up here but Chestner is controlling him well. Strasburg wants to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chestner trying to control the action but Strasburg is working from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Chestner dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Strasburg throws a combination. Chestner tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Strasburg has his takedown stuffed and Chestner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chestner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Strasburg throws a lazy right hand but Chestner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chestner jabs Strasburg right on the nose. Strasburg blinks but takes it well. Strasburg misses with a body shot.
Chestner stuffs the takedown attempt from Strasburg. Strasburg gets slowly back to his feet. Brad Chestner is winning the standup battle so far. Strasburg swings for the body but Chestner moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chestner walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Strasburg drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Chestner swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Strasburg's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brad Chestner! Brad Chestner was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
