Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lee (ranked 2150 p4p, 4052 weight class) and Philipp Tyurin (ranked 68 p4p, 141 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philipp Tyurin! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tyurin wants to counter with a clinch but Lee pushes him away. Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Tyurin on that attempt. Lee closes the distance and clinches. Lee being controlled against the cage. Tyurin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A low kick lands for Lee.
Tyurin fails with a takedown attempt. Tyurin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lee has control of Tyurin's left arm, preventing Tyurin from doing any damage. Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position. Tyurin wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyurin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lee wants to stand up but Tyurin is controlling him. Tyurin drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Tyurin seems to have locked his on tight now - Lee screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Tyurin, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Philipp Tyurin! Philipp Tyurin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
