The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Reynolds moves out of range easily.

Smith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Reynolds is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smith to the mat. Smith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Reynolds wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Reynolds advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Reynolds will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Reynolds takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Reynolds decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

It looks like Korbin Smith has been cut.
Niko Reynolds is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Reynolds swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
