Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mapple Syrup (ranked 2972 p4p, 24734 weight class) and Jaz Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mapple Syrup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaz Moore! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Syrup to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Syrup connects with a couple of short punches. Moore is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Syrup stands and steps away. Moore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Syrup shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moore pinned against the cage. Moore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Syrup instigates a clinch. Syrup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Syrup blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Moore tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Syrup's elbow. Moore throws a head punch that misses. Moore tries to stall but Syrup uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Syrup pulls guard effortlessly. Syrup controlling Moore's posture. Syrup's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Moore has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Rad's Flying Circus. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Moore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Syrup works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Syrup isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Moore stacks Syrup on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Moore! Moore working the ground and pound but Syrup is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Syrup tries to improve position but can't. Moore connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Syrup some visible discomfort.
Syrup parries the strikes from Moore easily there. Moore is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Syrup to escape.
Syrup is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Syrup gets back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Syrup blocking the ground and pound attempt from Moore. Moore trying to control from half guard but Syrup is working away. Syrup regains full guard. Nicely done. Moore is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Syrup is pulling down on Moore's head to control his posture. Syrup avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Syrup pulls Moore in close to prevent any damage. Moore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Syrup misses with a head kick.
Moore is looking for the big counter here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mapple Syrup dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Syrup drives through with a takedown into guard. Moore wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Syrup manages to pass to side control. Moore moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Syrup postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moore trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Moore working a defensive guard here.

Syrup passes easily into side control. Nice work. Syrup is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Moore's shoulder. That is not cool. Syrup in side control lands a decent elbow. Moore is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Syrup grinds an elbow into Moore's temple. Moore is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Syrup lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Moore tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Syrup easily slips into full mount! Mapple Syrup overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Syrup takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Syrup punishing his opponent with strikes. Syrup sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Moore in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Syrup avoids the attempt from Moore to control. Syrup controlling from mount. Moore is trying to stand but he's just given Syrup his back. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Syrup working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Moore is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Syrup has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Moore taps out!
