Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy King (ranked 21340 p4p, 22467 weight class) and Cole Kong (ranked 790 p4p, 778 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Cole Kong enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Kong! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Kong does it's job there. King fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kong shoots in for a double leg but King sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. King scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kong lands with a cross. Kong has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice shot lands for Kong. King moves in looking to clinch but Kong pushes him off. Kong catches King with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kong throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though. King blocks a head kick by Kong.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by King, which made it look bad. King fails in his attempt to clinch. King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kong's waist but Kong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side. Kong changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kong jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kong scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. King explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! King has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. King shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kong throws the kick towards the body but King avoids it. King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kong pinned against the cage. Kong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kong gets tackled into the cage by King. King maintains the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! King breaks from the clinch.
Kong defending well as King loads up on a big left hand. Kong is looking to slow King down with leg kicks. Kong fails with a takedown attempt. Sammy King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Kong. Kong looks to score with a jab to the body but King is just out of range. King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. King is looking to clinch.

Kong scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kong working the ground and pound from side control. King tries to buck Kong off but Kong is having none of it. King managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kong.
The ground and pound from Kong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. King struggling a bit here. King parries the strikes from Kong easily there. Kong is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable King to escape.
King is looking to regain half guard here but Kong keeps moving and retains side control. King is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King tries to bench press Kong off him but Kong keeps the position. Kong throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kong cracks King with a big right hand but King just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. King is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kong working the head with strikes. King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. King is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kong connects with a decent elbow. Kong scores with punches from side control. King is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kong asserts his dominance and retains side control. Kong throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Kong wants to control but King is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kong working the ground and pound from side control. King avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kong. Kong creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kong wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working. Kong creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kong throws a strike aimed at the side of King's head but King avoids it well. Kong throws an elbow but King slips to the side and avoids it well. Kong looking to punish the body of his opponent here but King is avoiding damage well.

Kong throwing strikes but King manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. King tries to advance to mount but can't. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Kong dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. King wants to clinch up but Kong keeps it at a distance. Kong tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. King takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. King looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kong misses with a head kick.
King avoids a kick to the body.
King on the wrong end of a nice jab. King is looking to clinch. Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. King misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kong paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King. Kong thows a body kick. King tries to catch it but that hurt him. Kong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Kong misses with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. King struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kong lands a decent elbow from side control. Kong misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kong is trying to ground and pound but King uses the momentary lack of control by Kong to regain half guard. King trying to hold on to Kong's head to control him but Kong postures up.
King is looking to improve his position.

Kong throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kong lands with a punch from half guard. King slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kong has been the more effective fighter overall so far. King trying to control the position here. Kong postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Cole Kong has got the better of the ground game so far. King keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully. Kong scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong stops King from standing up. Kong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King keeping full guard, as Kong tries to pass. King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kong controls the pace. King has control of Kong's left arm, preventing Kong from doing any damage. Kong stands up over King, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kong is looking to work some ground and pound but King has wrist control. King is looking to stand up but Kong isn't so interested in that idea. King keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kong's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
King is rocked! Kong lands a couple of elbows. Oh King is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kong postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! King covers up, he's hurt! Kong keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kong and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kong can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Kong! A relieved looking Cole Kong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
