Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Voracic Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deontologicus Smiff!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff staying out of range there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Smiff has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Frank fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Frank cracks Smiff with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Frank has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smiff to stand back up!
Frank drops Smiff with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smiff! Frank dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Voracic Frank!
