Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Hall (ranked 2030 p4p, 2764 weight class) and Frankie Venegas (ranked 117 p4p, 281 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robbie Hall! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frankie Venegas ! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venegas tries for a takedown but Hall circles away easily and Hall counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hall manages to pull guard.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Venegas from controlling successfully. Venegas is in close to Hall's body, working some short punches and elbows. Venegas postures up and lands a big shot to Hall's brow. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hall holds on and takes a little breather. Hall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hall definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Venegas defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Venegas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hall works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Venegas looking to sit in guard and control but Hall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hall advances to half guard. Hall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Venegas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Venegas manages to get to full guard.
Venegas wants to control the position but Hall says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Venegas is trying to get back to full guard. Hall passes to side control. Venegas is trying to work for a sweep but Hall has mounted him! Venegas is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Venegas tries to improve his position but Hall has taken his back! Hall has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Venegas tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Hall pushes Venegas away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Robbie Hall! Robbie Hall is the new bantamweight champion! An out of breath Robbie Hall thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
