Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julio Valeron Huhrera (ranked 2422 p4p, 3230 weight class) and Caua Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeda comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oba, La Vem Ela kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huhrera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takeda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Takeda felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Huhrera in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Takeda is looking to regain half guard here but Huhrera keeps moving and retains side control.

Huhrera seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Takeda for as long as he can get away with.

We've been hearing good reports from Huhrera 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Takeda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huhrera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
