The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw shoots in but Inhanamoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shaw misses with a takedown
and Inhanamoto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Inhanamoto looks to throw the jab but Shaw is out of range.
Shaw tries to clinch up but Inhanamoto circles away and keeps his distance.
Shaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Inhanamoto counters with a nice uppercut.
Aiko Inhanamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Shaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Inhanamoto tries to sprawl out of it but Shaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inhanamoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Inhanamoto misses with a looping left.

Inhanamoto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Inhanamoto wants it to stay on the feet.

Aiko Inhanamoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shaw doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Inhanamoto connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Inhanamoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Shaw darts in looking for a takedown but Inhanamoto gets double underhooks and turns Shaw into the cage.
Shaw looks winded!

Inhanamoto throws an overhand right that lands on Shaw's shoulder, as Shaw tries to avoid the shot.
Shaw is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Inhanamoto cracks Shaw with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Shaw falls to his knees and Inhanamoto doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
