Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Noir (ranked 866 p4p, 1082 weight class) and Jim Jones Jr (ranked 125 p4p, 159 weight class). Jones Jr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Ballad of Jim Jones. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Noir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Jones Jr! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noir misses with a looping left. Noir lands a jab-cross combination. Noir slips a jab from Jones Jr. Jones Jr stuns Noir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jones Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Noir works Jones Jr's body with a nice hook. Noir jabbing away but nothing is landing. Noir definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Jones Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Noir. Jones Jr misses with a looping right. Jones Jr scores with a jab to the head.
Nice defenses there by Noir. Jones Jr lands a head shot. Jones Jr throws a hook but Noir blocks it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Noir slips under a jab from Jones Jr. Noir swings for the body but Jones Jr moves out of range.
A slow jab from Noir misses its intended target. Noir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Noir. Jones Jr misses with a right hand and Noir counters with a nice uppercut. Jones Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Nice defenses there by Jones Jr.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones Jr scores with a hook. Jones Jr loads up on a big right hand but Noir slips the punch. Noir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones Jr moves away. Jones Jr tries a quick counter leg kick but Noir is wise to it. Jones Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! Jones Jr lands a jab to the head.
A swing and a miss from Jones Jr. Jones Jr throws a lazy right hand but Noir sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Noir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones Jr pinned against the cage. Jones Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Noir misses the jab. Noir stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jones Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jones Jr dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones Jr lands a nice hook to Noir's body. Noir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jones Jr throws a big shot that misses. The fighters circling - Jones Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones Jr misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noir ducks under a wild hook from Jones Jr. Jones Jr might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Noir throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones Jr. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Noir. Noir scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Noir is looking to take a break and control but Jones Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones Jr is looking to regain half guard here but Noir keeps moving and retains side control. Noir happy to just control the position for now. Jones Jr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones Jr tries to roll over but Noir keeps him under control. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Noir lands a nice short elbow. Noir wants to pass the guard but Jones Jr is defending well. Jones Jr is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Noir's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Noir's back! You can see the frustration on Noir's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Noir is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jones Jr.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones Jr has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Noir has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Noir tries to roll but Jones Jr sticks to his back.
Jones Jr is looking for the choke from the back position but Noir is controlling his hands well. Jones Jr trying to control. Noir trying to control but not successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jim Jones Jr will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Jones Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Noir keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones Jr. Jones Jr stuns Noir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jim Jones Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Noir misses the target. Noir slips under a jab from Jones Jr. Jones Jr scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Noir doesn't seem bothered though. Noir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones Jr swings for the body but Noir moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Noir sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones Jr scores with a jab to the body. Jones Jr jabs Noir right on the nose. Noir blinks but takes it well. Jones Jr missing with a left hand there. Noir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Noir throwing a counter right hand but Jones Jr manages to avoid it. This has been an exciting period of action! Noir looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones Jr is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noir misses with a wild body shot. Jones Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jones Jr throws a poor cross that misses
and Noir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Noir dodges the punch combination from Jones Jr.
A counter left hand to the body from Noir misses its target. Noir ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones Jr missing with a left hand there. Noir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Noir. Jones Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Noir wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Noir throws a big shot that misses. Jones Jr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Noir. Jones Jr misses with a hook. Noir closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones Jr's guard. Noir is working Jones Jr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jones Jr trying to control the position.
Noir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noir postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Noir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones Jr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Noir, into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Noir has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones Jr is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Noir has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jones Jr is looking to defend but Noir has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jones Jr! Noir pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jones Jr taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). James Noir! An out of breath James Noir thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
