Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ani Kwata (ranked 2360 p4p, 2505 weight class) and Mun Soon (ranked 298 p4p, 312 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ani Kwata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mun Soon! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kwata shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soon sprawls well. Soon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kwata gets slowly back to his feet. Soon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kwata. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kwata looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Soon is fending him off so far but Kwata persists. Nope, Soon circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ani Kwata. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kwata shoots for a double leg takedown but Soon sprawls well. He's pushed Kwata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwata shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soon sprawls well. Soon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kwata gets slowly back to his feet. Soon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kwata with a poor takedown and Soon counters with a nice uppercut. Nice takedown defense from Soon. No joy for Kwata on that attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kwata. Soon looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kwata shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Soon to counter with a crisp jab. Kwata shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Soon as he jumps to the side. Kwata tries for a takedown but Soon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwata shoots and misses and Soon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Soon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It seemed like Soon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kwata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soon tries to avoid it but Kwata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soon to the ground. Soon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kwata looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kwata fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kwata looks for a takedown but Soon sprawls well. Soon looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwata fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Soon throws out a counter right but Kwata avoids it with no problem. Soon slaps away a takedown attempt from Kwata, before circling back to the center of the mat. A little jabbing left from Soon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kwata fails to land the takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mun Soon dominated that round. That's time! Kwata's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Soon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Soon wants it to stay on the feet. Kwata closes the distance and clinches up with Soon, looking for a takedown. Kwata pushes Soon against the cage but Soon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Soon stuffs the takedown. Soon looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ani Kwata. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kwata darts in looking for a takedown but Soon gets double underhooks and turns Kwata into the cage. Soon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kwata backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Soon misses with some punches.
Kwata wants the takedown. Soon is fighting it off but Kwata persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Soon's guard against the cage. Kwata trying to control the position from guard on top but Soon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kwata slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwata tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kwata working the ground and pound from side control. Kwata staying calm. Kwata is chipping away with strikes.
Kwata creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Soon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Soon is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Soon wants to get back to his feet but Kwata drags him back down. Kwata working the body and head with strikes. Kwata is putting a hurting on Soon here, landing some big shots from side control. Kwata is working Soon over with some ground and pound from side control. Kwata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kwata landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Kwata working the head with strikes. Kwata cracks Soon with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soon gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kwata landing shots from mount. Kwata scoring with strikes but Soon is staying in there. Kwata connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Soon felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Kwata lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kwata is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kwata cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kwata trying to control but Soon is having none of it. Kwata landing shots from mount. Ani Kwata overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kwata connects with a bit shot that sees Soon covering up! More strikes from Kwata and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kwata is our winner by TKO!
