Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Ryan (ranked 5717 p4p, 24178 weight class) and Troy KIng (ranked 575 p4p, 638 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sterling Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Troy KIng!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KIng circles away from the clinch attempt.
KIng misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for KIng with that takedown attempt.
Ryan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A nice leg kick lands there from KIng.
KIng fails with the takedown

and Ryan counters by moving into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Ryan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryan looking to score a takedown here. KIng is defending well but Ryan drives through and ends up in KIng's guard.
KIng is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ryan cracks KIng with a solid left hand.

Ryan wants to pass the guard but KIng is keeping the position.

Ryan stands and steps away. KIng gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

KIng has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sterling Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Troy KIng.
KIng tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ryan smiles and moves away.

KIng closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

KIng breaks from the clinch.
Ryan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but KIng circles away quickly and effectively.
KIng unleashes a big counter combination but Ryan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and KIng counters with a straight right hand.
KIng fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ryan avoids it really well and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

KIng manages to break the clinch.
A low kick from Ryan is predictable there
and KIng counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Ryan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've been hearing that Ryan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

KIng is bucking up trying to escape but Ryan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

KIng defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryan.
KIng throws a counter combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ryan. KIng does a little dance to reset his feet.
KIng dives in for a single leg takedown but Ryan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

KIng gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ryan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching KIng on his heels. He'll look to pass KIng's guard now, I'm sure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if KIng can do anything to dispel that myth.

KIng is breathing heavily.
Ryan passes into half guard.
Ryan stalling.
Ryan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Ryan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryan escapes and gets back to his feet.

Ryan has KIng up against the cage in a clinch.

Ryan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. KIng just stands there and leans against the cage.
KIng misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ryan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite KIng's efforts to push away.

Ryan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ryan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ryan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Ryan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows KIng to get to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from KIng.

A momentary lapse in concentration from KIng enables Ryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. KIng manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ryan stays in close to KIng's body and controls the position.
Ryan forces his way into half guard.

Ryan drops an elbow to the side of KIng's head.

Ryan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows KIng to get to his feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Ryan throws a leg kick but KIng sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Ryan is taking a breather. KIng says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

KIng takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ryan is in close to KIng's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ryan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ryan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ryan won't allow KIng to sweep him here.
Ryan passes KIng's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Ryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that KIng can do to turn this around?
Well, if Ryan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
KIng has hold of Ryan's hands but Ryan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ryan shoots in and gets a takedown into KIng's guard.
KIng is looking to stand back up but Ryan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by KIng.
Ryan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ryan is putting a hurting on KIng here, landing some big shots from side control.

Ryan decides to stand back up. Ryan steps back and let's KIng get back to his feet.

KIng is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ryan is controlling him well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ryan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
