Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yovko Yovkov (ranked 6696 p4p, 25070 weight class) and Adracio Zalasat (ranked 626 p4p, 681 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adracio Zalasat!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yovkov throws a right and a left that both miss.

Zalasat clinches up with Yovkov and pushes him back against the cage.

Yovkov tries to counter by clinching up but Zalasat breaks away and moves out of range.
Yovkov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zalasat as he jumps to the side.
Zalasat looks for a takedown but Yovkov sprawls well.
Zalasat has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Yovkov gets a clinch.
Zalasat comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Zalasat throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Yovkovs head.
Zalasat is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Yovkov is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zalasat takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

letting Zalasat counter with a right hand.
