Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edmund Blackadder (ranked 4033 p4p, 2833 weight class) and Alexander Mesquita (ranked 482 p4p, 360 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Edmund Blackadder has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Edmund Blackadder seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edmund Blackadder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Mesquita!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackadder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mesquita fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mesquita gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Mesquita looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Blackadder bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mesquita misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Blackadder looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Blackadder does it's job there.
Blackadder cracks Mesquita with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A cross from Blackadder lands.
Blackadder fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blackadder lands with a shot to the body.
Mesquita moves into the clinch successfully.
Blackadder scores with a shoulder strike.
Blackadder lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mesquita backwards.

Blackadder lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Mesquita jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blackadder walks away with a smile on his face. Mesquita gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Edmund Blackadder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Mesquita.
Blackadder jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mesquita takes one to the side of the head.
Mesquita is rocked!
Blackadder walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Mesquita drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Blackadder swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Mesquita's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edmund Blackadder!
