Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Bates (ranked 2309 p4p, 3992 weight class) and Joseph Monferand (ranked 300 p4p, 464 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joseph Monferand!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bates shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Monferand napping and manages to drive through into side control!
