Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Cory Ashby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Macias!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macias moves into range and clinches up with Ashby.
Ashby looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Macias's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Macias closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ashby circles away.
Macias swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ashby is looking to counter punch.

Macias has closed the distance and engaged Ashby in a clinch.

Macias manages to break the clinch.
Ashby displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macias.
Ashby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ashby throws a sloppy head kick and Macias moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Macias counters with a head kick.
Ashby throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Macias's waist but Macias gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ashby off to one side.
Macias shoots in and drives through. Ashby sprawls well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Macias throws a nice looking combination but Ashby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Macias or perhaps it was just good defense by Ashby, which made it look bad.

Macias pushes off an throws an elbow but Ashby leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ashby dives in and grabs Macias's left leg, looking for a takedown. Macias pushes down on Ashby's head and hops out.

Macias gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ashby to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Macias has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ashby off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Macias dives in and grabs Ashby's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ashby pushes down on Macias's head and hops out.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Macias lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ashby has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ashby and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
No luck for Macias with that takedown attempt.
Ashby shoots in looking for a takedown but Macias manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ashby's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ashby misses with a two punch combination.

Ashby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macias sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ashby somewhat.

Macias shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ashby defends it nicely.

Ashby shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ashby was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Macias bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Macias drags the fight down to the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ashby decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ashby takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Antonio Macias.
Well Macias has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
