Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kody Harbrant (ranked 3621 p4p, 3027 weight class) and Kyle Kristian Galeos (ranked 395 p4p, 346 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kody Harbrant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Kristian Galeos! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galeos swinging wildly here.
Galeos throws a hook but Harbrant blocks it. Galeos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Galeos lands a nice shot that snaps Harbrant's head back.
It looks like Kody Harbrant has been cut. Galeos throws an off balance right hand
and Harbrant counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Kyle Kristian Galeos has been cut. Galeos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harbrant. Galeos throws a counter combo. Oooooh!!! Galeos has knocked Harbrant down with a huge combo! Galeos steps away and waves a wobbly Harbrant back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Harbrant is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harbrant darts in looking for a takedown but Galeos gets double underhooks and turns Harbrant into the cage. Galeos tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Harbrant is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kody Harbrant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Kristian Galeos. Galeos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Galeos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Harbrant uses from the top position. Harbrant seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Galeos keeping full guard, as Harbrant tries to pass. Harbrant throws a big elbow that misses. Harbrant pushes down on Galeos's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harbrant wants to pass to mount but Galeos is defending the position. Harbrant has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Harbrant is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Galeos defends it well. Harbrant is trying to control. Galeos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Harbrant passes to full mount! Galeos is in all sorts of trouble here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Galeos can do anything to dispel that myth. Harbrant jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Galeos is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Galeos and Harbrant has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Galeos is not content to let Harbrant control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harbrant is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Galeos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Galeos struggling a bit here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Harbrant is looking to take a break and control but Galeos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Galeos wants to control but Harbrant postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harbrant tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Galeos is looking for a sweep. Galeos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harbrant. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Harbrant working away. Galeos keeps Harbrant under control for a moment. Galeos can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Galeos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Harbrant wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Galeos, who protects the arm well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Kristian Galeos dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. A right-left combo lands from Galeos. Galeos lands a left and a right that send Harbrant crashing to the mat, dazed. Galeos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Oh Harbrant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Harbrant tries to clinch and Galeos counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Harbrant off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Galeos follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Harbrant was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kyle Kristian Galeos!
