Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1557 p4p, 1895 weight class) and Joshi Dell (ranked 197 p4p, 218 weight class). Shima's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dell throws out the jab.
Dell misses with a hook
and Shima counters with a three punch combo that has Dell backing up. Dell nods at Shima to acknowledge the strikes.
Dell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Shima uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dell.
Shima walks into a straight right hand from Dell.
Shima wants to clinch up but Dell keeps it at a distance.
Shima tries to move into range but Dell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Shima looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A little jabbing left from Dell on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Shima shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dell eats them both and turns towards Shima to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Dell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shima looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shima connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dell. Dell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Dell tries to bum rush Shima with a series of wild strikes but Shima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dell tests Shima's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Tetsuo Shima will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
