Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roscoe Regan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Cory Ashby!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Regan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ashby has Regan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ashby pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Regan tumbling to the mat - Ashby dives into Regan's guard.

Regan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ashby is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Regan.

Ashby wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Regan, who protects the arm well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ashby winds up and cracks Regan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Ashby got a little sloppy there for a moment and Regan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ashby has managed to get both his arms back between Regan's legs - danger averted.

Well Ashby has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
