Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Cain (ranked 4327 p4p, 3042 weight class) and Jake Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Rizzo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Cain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Rizzo! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain tries to keep at a distance but Rizzo has taken the fight into the clinch. Rizzo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rizzo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cain stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rizzo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Rizzo can't find room to land a body shot as Cain controls the action.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rizzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain tries to throw a body punch but Rizzo avoids it by throwing Cain back against the cage. Rizzo lands a body shot. Rizzo scores with a nice hook to the head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Rizzo lands with a short shot to the head. Rizzo effectively controlling the action here. Rizzo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rizzo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Rizzo is struggling to control the position. Rizzo struggles to land a body shot inside as Cain controls his hands.

Cain is rocked! Cain prevents a body shot from Rizzo. Oh Cain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The referee calls for Rizzo to work.
Cain seems to have got his legs back now. Cain letting Rizzo take a breather here. Cain blocks an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizzo misses with a short punch on the inside. Cain blocking some punches.
Rizzo digs a right hand into Cain's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cain's gas tank. Rizzo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Rizzo misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Rizzo lands a body shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rizzo tries to throw a body punch but Cain avoids it by throwing Rizzo back against the cage. Rizzo taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Rizzo dominated that round. That's time! Cain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd cheers as Rizzo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cain doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like David Cain has been cut. Rizzo works Cain's body with a nice hook. Cain walks straight into a right hand from Rizzo - that's dropped him! Rizzo jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cain from any more punishment! Cain complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jake Rizzo! Jake Rizzo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
