Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ragnar Ragnarsson (ranked 5260 p4p, 4625 weight class) and Eymundur Kouransson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eymundur Kouransson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ragnar Ragnarsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eymundur Kouransson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kouransson tries to clinch up but Ragnarsson circles away and keeps his distance.
Ragnarsson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kouransson misses with a body shot
and Ragnarsson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kouransson's knee momentarily.
Ragnarsson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kouransson looks to score with a jab to the body but Ragnarsson is just out of range.
Kouransson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kouransson throws a body shot but no joy.
Kouransson throws a sloppy body shot
and Kouransson is countered with a crisp right hand from Ragnarsson that sends him to the canvas! Ragnarsson follows him to the mat into side control.
Kouransson is rocked!
It looks like Eymundur Kouransson has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ragnarsson advances to full mount.
Kouransson is still in real trouble! Can Ragnarsson finish him?
Ragnarsson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ragnarsson continues to stall.
Ragnarsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kouransson seems to have recovered his senses.
Kouransson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Ragnarsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ragnarsson lands a really nice looking cross but Kouransson seems unphased.
Kouransson looks to land a combination but Ragnarsson avoids it well.

and Kouransson is countered with a crisp right hand from Ragnarsson that sends him to the canvas! Ragnarsson follows him to the mat into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kouransson wants to get back to his feet but Ragnarsson is dominant here and he's now got Kouransson's back!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ragnarsson goes for a small jab and connects. Now Ragnarsson goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Kouransson stumbles back but Ragnarsson runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Kouransson to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Kouransson will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
