Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sorry Boutdat (ranked 3023 p4p, 4109 weight class) and Steven Locke (ranked 343 p4p, 444 weight class). Locke has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Steven Locke told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sorry Boutdat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Locke! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Locke misses with a combination
and Boutdat counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Locke is trying to stand up here but Boutdat is controlling him well. Locke is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Boutdat scores with a couple of nice shots. Boutdat controlling the action here. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. He's got hold of a leg but Locke swivels and escapes. It seemed like Locke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Boutdat slips under a jab. Locke misses with a straight right. Boutdat appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Locke slaps away a takedown attempt from Boutdat, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sorry Boutdat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boutdat wants to pass the guard but Locke is keeping the position. Boutdat ducks under a wild hook from Locke. Boutdat shoots in and drives through. Locke sprawls well. Sorry Boutdat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. and Boutdat counters with a takedown into side control. Boutdat is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
