Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Horace Cuba (ranked 1437 p4p, 1195 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 217 p4p, 183 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Horace Cuba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuba on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Meyer throws a sloppy head kick and Cuba moves out of range easily. Meyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Meyer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cuba finds it's way round the side to connect with Meyer's head. Cuba clinches. Cuba slows down the pace here.
Cuba lands an elbow just above Meyer 's eye.
It looks like Oscar Meyer has been cut. Cuba cracks Meyer with a nice body shot. Cuba stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cuba ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Meyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Meyer wants to get back to his feet but Cuba is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cuba controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cuba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Meyer was well out of range. Poor timing from Cuba. Nice straight punches there by Cuba. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cuba. A slow jab from Cuba misses its intended target. Cuba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meyer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cuba misses with an uppercut. Horace Cuba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meyer swats away the attempt to clinch by Cuba. Cuba moves in looking to clinch but Meyer pushes him off. Cuba throws a poor cross that misses
and Cuba takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Horace Cuba has been cut. Cuba gets a clinch. Cuba blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Meyer gets control of Cuba's arms and successfully pulls guard. Meyer will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Meyer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cuba's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meyer trying to control but Cuba is working from the bottom. Meyer wants to stand and escape but instead Cuba has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Meyer keeping full guard, as Cuba tries to pass. Meyer has an active guard here but Cuba has managed to pass into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meyer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Meyer. Cuba tries to free his leg and advance position but Meyer is retaining full guard. Cuba slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Meyer is trying to hold Cuba in close to prevent damage but Cuba has managed to pass into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cuba sitting and controlling from the half guard. Meyer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cuba wants to pass the guard but Meyer is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Horace Cuba dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Cuba lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cuba falls off balance throwing a combination
and Meyer counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Horace Cuba is winning the standup battle so far. Cuba fails in his attempt to clinch. Meyer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Cuba throws a right and a left that Meyer avoids nicely. Meyer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A punch combination from Cuba misses. Meyer tries to land a front kick but Cuba steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cuba takes a shot right to the bread basket. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cuba avoids it really well and circles away. Cuba shoots in looking for a takedown but Meyer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cuba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Meyer shoots for a double leg takedown but Cuba sprawls well. He's pushed Meyer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Is there anything that Meyer can do to turn this around? Cuba holding his opponent close, against the cage.
